Top 5 ski resorts for families

There's nothing as fun as family skiing! So that everything goes well, an adapted station, certified Familles Plus Montagne. This seal of quality guarantees families a quality stay, whether you want to practice skiing together or, on the contrary, you want to enjoy the slopes for adults, while the children are under supervision ...

1. Les Ménuires (Savoy) Skiing as a family is not only reserved for small stations, but quite the opposite. Ménuires, in the prestigious domain Les 3 Vallées, is a good test: it has been chosen as the best family resort in 2015. Everything has been thought for families, from nurseries (from 3 months) to ski lessons. The little ones learn to slide in the Piou-Piou Club, well supervised and with total security, with adapted ski lifts. During this time, parents and teenagers can ski quietly, in one of the most beautiful alpine domains.

 2. Le Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie) This is another great resort ideal for families. For beginner skiers, a new space has been enabled in the plateau du Rosay, the neuralgic point of the Grand-Bornand. Up there await you 1.5 hectares of easy gliding, as well as the longest conveyor belt in the world: 201 meters! Perfect to learn to ski as a family. Those who prefer the sled can also have fun in the same place, on a special track of 2,600 m².

 3. Villard de Lans-Corrençon (Isère) Villard de Lans and Corrençon are two stations in one of human dimension and with authentic mountain villages. Ideal for families looking for tranquility, in the beautiful wooded landscapes of Vercors. Pass from one station to the other crossing an easy runway bordered by snowy fir trees.

4. Orcières Merlette 1850 (Hautes-Alpes) For a long time it is the children's station. Here was born the first snow garden, in 1967. There is the garden of the Piou-Piou (from 3 to 6 years old) and that of the Tits poussins (between 2 years and a half and 3 years). Without forgetting Opoualand, a fantastic track with caves and snow catapults. Since 1970 the station offers even the unprecedented possibility of coming out of the school holidays thanks to the program "the backpack of snow". Children continue to go to school while enjoying skiing (from 6 years to 11 years old). Other recreational activities: the baby sled, the fatbike (BTT with thick tires to circulate on the snow), a lap in steamroller or with the staff that opens the tracks of the domain (free, by lot).

5. Rosière-en-Savoie (Savoie) In the Galopins club, children between 3 and 12 years old can start sled fun (there is also a baby club for children from 18 months) while the older ones descend by the tracks. Teenagers can start freestyle and freeride at the Junior Academy.

The Familles Plus Montagne Quality Seal All these stations have the Familles Plus Montagne quality seal that guarantees families a personalized welcome, animations and rates adapted to all ages, activities to do together or separately and nearby businesses.
